Shettar Once Again Requests Extension of Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat to Belagavi
Belagavi, EXPRESS News: In a significant appeal, Belagavi MP has urged Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw to extend the Bengaluru-Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express service to Belagavi, addressing a long-standing demand of the region’s residents.
Expressing his gratitude, the MP welcomed the introduction of the Pune-Belagavi-Hubballi Vande Bharat Express, set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on September 16. “It is a matter of great pride that the long-pending request for a Vande Bharat Express service between Pune, Belagavi, and Hubballi has been fulfilled. This is a major achievement for our people, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to the government and the Railway Ministry for making this a reality,” the MP said.
The MP further stated that extending the Bengaluru-Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express to Belagavi remains a crucial demand from his constituency. He recalled a successful trial run of the service to Belagavi, which was later paused due to technical reasons. “Railway officials had temporarily halted the introduction of a new schedule despite the trial run being successful. I have already communicated these issues to the Railway Minister during our earlier conversation,” he added.
Highlighting the importance of this service for the people of Belagavi, the MP reiterated his request to the Railway Ministry to consider the extension of the Bengaluru-Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express to Belagavi, emphasizing the positive impact it would have on regional connectivity.
This proposal is expected to enhance transportation options for the people of Belagavi, further contributing to the region’s development.
